We’re excited to announce the return of the Youth Heatwave Hockey League (HHL)!

Our summer session features an 8-game season plus playoffs and is designed for players of all skill levels. This is a great opportunity for kids to learn, compete, and have fun in a structured league environment.

Tuesday Night Youth League

Birth Years: 2013–2017
First Games: Tuesday, June 9
Playoffs: Tuesday, August 4
Start Time: 6:00 PM
Game Slots: 50 minutes

Thursday Night Youth League

Birth Years: 2018 & younger
First Games: Thursday, June 11
Playoffs: Thursday, August 6
Start Time: 6:00 PM
Game Slots: 50 minutes

Sunday Night HHL

Our new Sunday league is for high school-aged players, including incoming freshmen through graduating seniors.

Birth Years: 2012–2007
First Games: Sunday, June 14
End-of-Season Tournament: Sunday, August 9
Start Time: 6:00 PM
Game Slots: 50 minutes

Some 2013/2014 athletes may be approved to play in Sunday Night HHL, but they must be approved first.

League Format

• Maximum 10 skaters + 1 goalie per team
• 8 games guaranteed + playoffs
• Stats, standings, and Player of the Game awards
• Players may request to play with up to 2 friends for Tuesday/Thursday leagues
• Sunday Night HHL players may request to play with 1 friend
• Teams will be created to be as competitive and balanced as possible

Sunday Night HHL Game Format

• 14-minute periods
• 2 referees
• 3-minute overtime for all regular season games
• 3-player shootout for all regular season games

The Sunday Night HHL season will end with a 4-team tournament on Sunday, August 9:

• Semifinal 1: 6:00 PM
• Semifinal 2: 6:50 PM
• Championship Game: 8:00 PM

Player Placement

Players may be able to play up or down depending on age, skill level, and experience. For example, if a 2012 player is newer to skating, they may be approved to play on Tuesdays. If a 2018 player is more experienced, they may be approved to play on Tuesdays as well.
